Meet Your Instructors
Amie McAllister, Breathe Certified Pilates Instructor
& Optavia Health Coach

A year and a half ago, I was 35 pounds heavier, exhausted, sore, and losing confidence. I wanted to be able to keep up with my teenage sons, so I made the decision to start my health journey with Optavia to lose weight. This program teaches you lifetime habits for healthy eating and overall healthy lifestyle. With my newfound confidence, energy, and state of feeling great, I knew that I had to share. my story. The first step was to become a certified Optavia Health coach to keep myself accountable and to help others lose weight. I knew I couldn't stop there and wanted to bring a unique form of fitness and movement to our community.

I absolutely adore Pilates! I have participated in both Mat & Reformers Pilates since my mid-twenties (along with several other classes such as Barre, Yoga, HIIT, Circuit, Zumba, and more). I started testing the waters as a fitness instructor when my boys were babies. I started out as a Spin Instructor and morphed my way into a Pilates inspired stretch and strength class for men and women ages 16 to 80. Prior to moving to Grangeville, I discovered Reformer Pilates from one of my Spin clients. After kicking her butt in Spin, if there was a cancellation, she would invite me to her Private Class afterwards with the promise to "repay the favor" of making me work, LOL.

I really hope you will give us a try at Fit Fusion. Here, we take a different approach meet you where you are with your health goals. Whether it is strictly Mat/Reformer Pilates for strength, flexibility, core stabilization, prenatal, pain & injury, OR just losing weight, or more, we'd love to tailor a program that will fit YOUR needs!

Welcome! We’re glad you’re here! My fitness journey started in 2006 when I started working as a wildland firefighter. I spent many hours hiking and training for my first pack test, and enjoyed getting paid to work out for an hour a day……plus strenuous work on the fireline. I continued this work seasonally for 6 years before meeting my husband, following his career and starting a family. Life got busy and exercise got put on the backburner. I did workout classes when I could, even trained and completed a couple of ½ marathons, but weight crept on, perimenopause hit, joints hurt and I knew something had to change; and then came Amie!
She was excited about a program she was going to start (OPTAVIA) and wanted me to do it with her. I had done it in the past, without success, but decided to give it another shot. With Amie as my coach, I quickly lost 20 lbs, got some energy and my spark back! With this new found energy, we talked about opening a Pilates studio, and I told her I was all in. I am still in the throws of motherhood, with three young kids and a teenager, so my time is still limited, but I have been with Amie on this journey from day one when she started her certification; I am currently working on getting certified myself, and enjoy teaching and coming up with classes!
I enjoy all forms of movement: backpacking, hiking, running (although I try to stay away from it because of bad knees), riding and lifting with the Peloton app, HIIT, although I absolutely LOVE pilates on the reformer, it’s low-impact, but can totally deliver on whatever your fitness goals are. I love to deep dive into health, especially women’s health; and I hope to one day specialize in movement for neurological disorders. I can’t wait to meet you in the studio and help you achieve your health and fitness goals!
